Happy Friday Eve š I hope you all are having the BEST week! Today’s post is a pretty transparent story on how I finally went for it and started my blog along with some hard-hittingĀ advice! Stay tuned to the end for a BIG announcement!!!
Let me be real for a minute⦠before I started my blog, I had dreamed of it for so long. The only thing wasā¦. there were so many things holding me back. I did not feel āgood enoughā to be a ābloggerā. I was not fully confident in who I was and thought who would ever want to take advice from someone who is far from perfect?? I’ve been patiently waiting for my hair to grow back after it got very damaged, and just kept telling myself to hold off until I met the standard that I held myself to. But (with the huge push of encouragement from my husband and family) I just went for it. I decided to research, organize and prep for 3 months to invest in what is now RebeccaWright.com. I wrote posts in advance so Iād be able to post consistently without feeling overwhelmed while getting the hang of things. I raided my closet for hours piecing together outfits for shoots so that I could launch my site without breaking the bank. My sweet and incredibly supportive husband purchased my domain for me, set up my web hosting and helped me build my website. He consistently told and continues to tell me how proud he is of me for going for it. When I wrote my first post and sent it to him to look over he was beaming with pride watching me chase a dream of mine. I have no idea where this blog will go but one thing I do know for sure is that I am SO glad I just went for it. This has become an outlet for me to share my thoughts, things I love and hopefully inspire others! I genuinely enjoy writing, researching and creating content for my blog, it is soo fun for me. But, knowing that Iāve created a platform to share what really matters makes this journey all the more worthwhile.
Whatever youāve been on the fence about for a while, whether that be changing your career path to something youāre more passionate about, joining a Bible study, inviting the new mom to coffee, or starting a blog, I encourage you to dig deep in your heart and recognize what is holding you back. Turn that doubt into fuel – get outside of your comfort zone. Use your passion to shine light to the world. I know the Lord placed it in my heart to pursue this blog, so I owe it to Him to follow it and use this space to show others the love of Christ whether they know thatās what I am doing or not. Iām so grateful to already have people consistently reading and interested in my blog – I absolutely love sharing my life and love for fashion with you. Thank you for supporting me, I wish I could give you each a big hug. Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game, just go for it!

So sweet! Thank you for the encouragement! xoxo
The key is to stay consistent and believe that God has already equipped you with what you need and more. Xoxo
Love this! Thank you for your comment š
I read your blog today because of a friend of my daughter from college posted it (that should give you an idea that I am a little older than most of your readers). I am doing something today that I have wanted to do since college – not sure that I will be able to complete it but at least I will have tried. While eating my lunch I was praying about feeling fearful, feeling too old and asking for God to show me if this is what I should be doing today. Your blog was just what I needed. Thank you!
This made my whole day!!! Thank you for sharing this, I am so glad that this post was able to encourage you! Wishing you many blessings on your journey š xoxo
