So many exciting things have been happening at the house lately! I drive out there a couple of times per week (it’s about 45 min from where we are currently living but the drive is extremely enjoyable as the new house is so much closer to downtown and south mount pleasant which are the areas we love most along with the low country intracostal way which will basically be in our backyard)! I mentioned this on Instagram but every time we go out to our neighborhood we are both flooded with gratitude and excitement. It couldn’t be a more perfect fit for what we dreamed of for our first home!
The Evolution Of The Exterior
Here are a few snaps of the interior, although not the most glamorous photos! A lot of what’s been going on in there is unseen but still exciting! Here’s what has been done: Plumbing, Electrical Wiring, Natural Gas, Fireplace Unit, Windows, Doors, and HVAC unit! This week they started on insulation and we have a pre-drywall meeting early next week. After our meeting, they will start the drywall which will make it feel even more real! Although each visit makes it feel more and more real!
Last weekend Will and I both went out (I usually drive out during the day by myself) and it was so fun dreaming up the plans we have for each room etc. We took these photos and I’m so glad we did to reflect on and show our babies one day! I want to note that I never want these home posts to come off as bragging. We feel so fortunate to be in this season especially with everything going on in the world! My intention with these posts is to document the process and hopefully bring you some joy and inspiration as we make this house our home! Thank you SO much for following along, it truly means the world to me. I have picked up and put down this blog a few times in the last few years and I feel that in this season I have enough time to pour my heart into it as I have always desired to but in a more authentic way than ever. I am excited to re-embark on this journey and continue sharing with those of you who are interested in my style, home, lifestyle tips, thoughts, and finds! This started as a home update and turned into a personal update haha all that to say, thank you for reading! We love walking with you on this journey! It’s so fun seeing and hearing your excitement each step of the way. We also see behind the scenes all the hard work that you and Will do to run a successful business that is allowing this dream to become a reality.
