Hey Y’all, happy Monday!! Today is only my absolute favorite day of the year (a few notches above Christmas 😉 ) – the day that William and I became one. I am going to keep today’s post short and sweet as we are celebrating our anniversary, but don’t you worry, tomorrows post will be filled with all of the fun activities we got into this weekend in Savannah!

For this post, I really wanted to share the biggest thing that we learned in our first year of marriage. But to be quite honest, we learned SO many big lessons in the past year. We’ve both learned a whole lot about humility, selflessness, gratitude, and grace – and that’s just for starters. But one thing we have never doubted or forgotten is our love for each other.

No one’s marriage is perfect. Not every day is a fairytale where your husband brings flowers home from work, wants to sit and chat for hours and tell you how beautiful you are. There definitely are days like that and they look different for everyone. But the commitment you make on your wedding day is a commitment that you live out on days where you’re both in great spirits and in seasons of trial. And never let yourself get tired of serving your spouse!!

William is truly my better half and the best person I know. He challenges me daily (sometimes hourly haha) to be the best version of myself that I can. He is my number one fan and every day there is a new blog post up (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays) he will text or call me a few times to see how the post is doing. He loves me the exact same on days I am very productive and days that I don’t have the energy to fold the laundry. He encourages my strengths and sharpens my weaknesses without making me feel less than. And he can make me laugh like no other. I can not believe how my love has grown for him in the past year. He is my absolute favorite person in the world and I can not imagine my life without him. I am so blessed to call this tender man my husband and he has made this the best year of my life. I can not wait to create a family together and raise some cute babies that love Jesus! And I sure as heck can’t wait to grow old with this handsome guy!! He loves me so well!

Thank you all for stopping by my blog on this special day for us! I hope you all have the best week!!

XO
