Trader Joe’s Hits

Hey hey, friends! How is everyone’s week going?! To be honest, I am a little shocked that next week is the first week of October! Anyone else feel like this year is flying by?! Maybe it’s just me, but wow!!!

About a week ago I touched on trying some new things at Trader Joe’s! This post was kind of on the back burner until my brother in law gave me a call saying he was looking forward to it! So I’m here today to show you a few of the new things we tried from TJ’s and a couple (not all – I will do a fridge staples post soon!!) of our weekly staples!

I love Trader Joe’s for a few different reasons. For one, their prices are great!! I can go in there, load up a cart and under spend our weekly grocery budget (which is rare haha). Next, I love that they have such a variety of healthy foods including organic produce! Their frozen section is just as great and although I do like to cook – their frozen entrees are foolproof. Last, I love finding things that I normally wouldn’t buy, the employees do a great job letting you know some of their favorites and recommending things you may like based on the things you are purchasing! If you don’t shop at TJ’s, you should definitely try it – you won’t find a lot of their specialty items anywhere else! (I drive an extra 20 min just because I love shopping there!) And their flowers are always amazing with an even more amazing price tag 😉 (all of the flowers used in any of my photoshoots have been from there!)

Ok, now onto the food!

Alright, these pumpkin pop tarts are Auh-Maz-Ing! Such a sweet fall treat to enjoy with your morning coffee 🙂 I know My mother in law will be all over these – I need to bring her some ASAP!

Another new fall favorite – this spiced apple cider! It is like a cold pressed juice and is soooo yummy! This will not make sense until you try it but it tastes like a cool crisp afternoon jumping in a pile of leaves hahah I promise if you like cider type drinks, you will love it! The ingredients are all organic and clean however there is a lot of natural sugar so just keep that in mind 🙂

This is a good alternative to the Coffee Matte French Vanilla Coffee Creamer.

I have no words… Amazing.

My mama is 100% Italian and it would be a disgrace to our family if I didn’t love pasta! Just kidding, but I do love pasta and gnocchi is my favorite! When Will and I were eating strict paleo it really opened my eyes to how much gluten I consumed via pasta! I actually haven’t tried this yet but if it is yummy, it will be a great alternative! I will keep you posted 😉

These are a great snack and you know your husband will actually eat them if you pack them in his lunch 😉

My Aunt Linda recommended I start using these in our morning smoothies (sharing that recipie soon!!)! They definitely fill you up and hold me over longer until lunch 🙂 Also a great source of fiber! William also likes “chia seed pudding” in the morning with fruit, so we have started to use these for that as well.

These. Chips. Oh my word! I’ve never been a chip person (Doritos, potato chips etc.) but these have converted me to being a “chip person”. That is if you count these as “chips” haha the ingredients are so clean and have great health benefits. Makes for less guilty chips and salsa or chips and guac snack 🙂 I love love love pairing them with this Tabbouli! It is a middle eastern vegetarian salad made of mostly finely chopped parsley with tomatoes and lots more! I like to add some feta cheese to the Tabbouli, mix it up and eat with these chips as part of my lunch or for a snack! SO YUMMY! And if you’re like me and adore this time of year, the fall harvest salsa is a great way to switch up your regular chips and salsa! Now that it sounds like I have chips and salsa everyday let me explain myself… I do not!! Haha, it is just great to have on hand for guests or a quick snack and doesn’t go bad as quickly as fresh produce!

I have started to keep RX bars in my bag at all times now! I love that they only use whole foods as their ingredients and they are super easy to carry around daily! They also fill me up and taste sooo yummy! These are my favorite flavors 🙂

And finally, this bacon! This is such a great product!!! This bacon has no added sugar, is nitrate free and paleo friendly! I make a couple of slices with Williams breakfast every morning and I love knowing it’s safe and clean. We also do bacon wrapped chicken breasts every so often and Will’s favorite.. bacon wrapped jalapeno peppers! I know this can also be found at Target and Publix!

These are a few of the things that I got on my most recent Trader Joe’s run! I feel like I am always at so many grocery stores because different ones carry different things but the few I frequent most are Fresh Market, Target, Trader Joe’s and occasionally Whole Foods! Do you shop at Trader Joe’s? If you said YES – let me know a few of your favorite items you get there!! We love trying new things!

Thank you so much for spending a part of your day with me! I love chatting with you all and truly feel like we are friends!! I am so grateful you enjoy reading my blog and hope it can inspire you in some way or perhaps just bring you a smile 🙂

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Yes, your mother-in-law would most definitely love the pumpkin pastry with coffee. 😘 Thank you for the fun article about your great finds at Trader Joe’s. I don’t typically shop there but it is a fun store to explore and try new things! Their flowers are what usually draws me there for a visit! They are so fresh and the prices are great!

  2. I have had the gnocchi as a side dish. It is great and easy to add extra flavor with chopped basil or your favorite herb.

My guilty pleasure is the white chicken salad. It is so creamy and delicious!

    1. I was going to pick that up but didn’t know if I should!! Thank you for letting me know, I am definitely going to try it 🙂
